BCS is one of only ten schools in the state to be involved in this Industry Partnership with the Microsoft corporation.
Students and staff from our school are working with Microsoft to design and implement a special internet portal for our Middle School students. For 2008, this portal has expanded to include all students from BCS and some from our partner schools; Bungwahl, Tea Gardens, Booral and Coolongolook. It also now incorporates our "outside" web site (the one you're looking at).
This portal is a space where students can communicate with teachers and each other, download and upload work, even vote on each others' projects.
As part of this work, Middle School students write, direct, film, edit and produce sound tracks, all for a short movie, a stop-frame animation called a claymation. As the year progresses, students pass their skills to each other. Later in the year, students from other schools come to BCS. Our students then run a course in producing their own movie.
