Bulahdelah Central School's Red Cross Youth Challenge Team were the proud Runners Up Division for the Rural/Regional Section of the NSW Red Cross Youth Challenge Awards.

The team leader, Josh Gilbert, was also rewarded for his efforts; coming Runner Up in the Peer Award and winning the Media Award. This is the second year that Josh has taken home the Media Award.

The team have continued their work raising funds and awareness of the Bulah Brekky Club, Westpac Helicopter and the Bulahdelah Community.

Josh has started discussions with the RTA and Great Lakes Council about upgrading a local park near the bridge  to include parking, a fenced playground, boardwalk,  BBQs and eco-friendly toilets prior to the bypass of the town.
